    Chip,

I understand you recently had a conference call on Feb. 2 regarding encompass marketing strategies. I was wondering if there is still some way you can repost that call on your blog so others including myself could hear it. My company is very interested in auto responder e-mails and campaign management marketing with encompass. If there is anyway this is possible that would greatly impact our choice in switching are marketing tracking over to encompass.

    thanks Chip,

    Jon

Thanks for your comment, and yes - that call has been posted! You can access it directly on Ellie Mae’s home page at www.EllieMae.com (bottom right).

What a call! We had almost 1000 people on the initial call, and over 400 that listened to the replay on Friday. It was fun, and Ellie Mae would like to do more, so stay tuned!

    Enjoy!

Chip, a couple of things. I was at your recent Wash. DC 1 day seminar. Any way to get the PPT presentations from both of those sessions please?

Also, I was just on your conference call for “Strategies to retain customers forever”…..you mentioned aerial photographs as a unique thank you momento to put on cards or something….where do you actually get aerial photos of any particular neighborhood or home or lake? Thank you! Great stuff

Thanks for the comment Chris, and glad you enjoyed it! Sorry, but copies of PPT’s are only available to my Platinum Club coaching members (which is full right now).

Aerial photos can be obtained from a variety of sources - for local lakes and scenic areas, contact local Chamber of Commerce for suggestions. For other areas, you can use Google’s Keyhole (Earth) service, or other aerial services like Zillow. There are also companies that will float a Helium balloon and take pictures for you (for a small fee of course ;-) )

    Hope that helps!

Chip, I am doing the transparent signature thing for marketing…BUT I have a question of its functionality on EMAIL signatures….would you advise doing this for your email signatures? People will obviously know that you didnt actually ’sign’ your email and will just understand its a technology trick……so therefore I wouldnt want to spoil the effect or intent (which is to make people believe its a true signature) of the transparent signature when we put it on regular printed marketing….what do you think?
    Thanks

    Chris -
You are correct in that the effect loses it’s “touch” inside an e-mail, so you can use either a jpg or a gif file - it won’t make much difference. BUT - I still like to use a signature file for personal e-mails. Yes, they know I didn;t sign it personally, but the effect still creates a personal “feel”.

Just make sure your CONTACT info is in the sig file! Also, include some link to a “personal value” item to increase the effectiveness of the sig file!

I attended the Action Conference in Nairobi on the weekend of April 21-22. I really enjoyed it. I discovered that there is so much about the web that I’m yet to exploit. Thanks a lot.

Can I get a copy of the PPT please. Good day.

    Hi Chip,
I attended your training class in Orlando on Thursday, July 12th. I thoroughly enjoyed it and though you had some really unique ideas for becoming an expert for our customers. I took lots of great notes in the journal you provided in the class, but left them in the hotel room. Would there be some way for me to get a copy of the journal so I can see your website resources? I could just kick myself for leaving that behind. Maybe some of the tips that you gave in your powerpoint are also included in the cd you gave out in class. I sure hope so. I will be recommending your class to my colleagues.
    Thanks,
    Stacey
