I just got back from a great event in Sacramento - speaking to all the branch managers and team members of American Pacific Mortgage.  What a great time!

One of the conversations we got into (other than the current deterioration of the sub-prime mortgage market!) - was “personal branding”

Not just any branding, but “marketing branding” through URL’s (domain names).  You know that you need to reserve your personal name as a domain, as well as common misspellings, variations, 800#’s, trademarks, slogans, mottos, products, etc. But what about your marketing sites?

Look to your target market, and your sub-market niches for clues on what to include inside marketing domain names.  For example, if your market is construction loans, then reserve names like www.sacramento-home-construction.net; or www.homebuilders-report.com; or www.plumbing-secrets.net; or www.selfbuildstrategies.com.

The possibilities are endless, but including “keywords” in the domain will increase your visability in the search engines, increase conversion in PPC marketing, and better position you inside sub-niche target markets.

For “personal branding”, reserve combinations such as “AskChip.com”; “AccessChip.com”; “ChipReports.com”; “ChipBonus.com”; and other similar variations…

To research all the possible domain combinations, (or to reserve your own name!) - go to www.InstantCheapDomains.com!

JUST ANNOUNCED - I’ll be coming down to the Tampa, FL area in early April for an “Advanced Marketing” seminar - go to www.EncompassSeminars.com for more info.

Have a great week!
